Exhibition Visit and Networking. Dale Mackie, Land Sea and Steel, Cleethorpes Discovery Centre.

I was pleased to be able to attend this exhibition, not only because I always enjoy the work of Dale Mackie, but also because as it was a preview I knew that there would be plenty of opportunity for networking.

This exhibition is the first involvement in a project entitled Arts Underlined funded by the Arts Council of England especially to allow him to develop his work over a year long commission enabling him to create new work based around listed buildings in North East Lincolnshire which will be exhibitied in January 2018.  The current work marks where Dale is at at the beginning of the project and focuses on three areas that particularly interest him.

This body of work is a combination of large scale drawings and paintings.  The deep feeling he has for the area and his subjects comes through in his work.
