Last Lap; First Thoughts
I write this post as I contemplate the culmination of my studies for Body of Work and Contextual Studies; I am working on Assignment 5 in both modules. I registered for SYP last week and have received the course material today. The last few months has been a step up in work levels as we have had to work on two modules together and now the extra challenge of a third has been added. The priority for the moment will be to complete both CS and BOW. Having said that I have begun to read the course notes for SYP and am filled with a mixture in equal parts of trepidation and excitement. Whilst I look forward to networking and seeing the final publication of my BOW, it is another step out of my comfort zone. In some ways I am used to showing my work to the public as I regularly give talks on my wildlife and landscape photography and sell cards to groups ranging from a dozen or so people to audiences into three figures and from church groups, WI, RSPB and Wildlife Trust groups and camera clubs. Networking with the art world, though, will be new to me and I relish the challenge with some caution.
